YOUTH AND MOBILE PHONES

YOUTH AND MOBILE PHONES

Young people know a lot about innovations and modern technologies. They know everything about modern trends and fashionable activities. They are fond of everything new and extreme. They like to risk and to get everything of the latest fashion.

So, modern technologies very quickly adapt to youth having various colours, designs, options. Modern technologies are mobile phone, computer, laptop, television, cameras, cinematography, etc.

According to statistics 600 million mobile phones are sold every year. And most of them are bought by youth. Some young people have even two or more mobiles. In such countries as the USA, China, Japan you may hear the telephone ringing everywhere you go.

A mobile phone is not used only to call nowadays. It is also a camera, a messenger, a modem and a radio at the same time. Almost every day technologists and scientists invent something new and add new options to the self phone that changes its design, size, colour, etc. Mobile phone is the part of image and a comfortable way to keep in touch with other people. It is the way to show the social and financial status in the society and it is very important for youth.

A mobile phone has a lot of advantages. If someone needs to speak to a person he/she may simply call him/her. But at the same time mobile phones have a lot of disadvantages as they may influence people's psychological and physical health. According to researches mobile phone spreads radiation. Of course it is a little doze that can't harm a person. But if a person receives the doze of radiation regularly, even if it is a small doze, it may harm people. So it is not recommended to carry mobile phones in pockets of clothes.

Another problem is a concern for parents of young people, because they pay the monthly bill. And sometimes the bill may be too big to pay. Young people don't worry about money they spend when they talk using mobiles and may spend several hours chatting with friends.

Besides, young people prefer communication with the help of modern technologies to face-to-face communication. It is better to write a couple of word in SMS than to meet a person and say something looking into his/her friend's eyes. People tell about their feelings, share opinions and problems, tell news with the help of mobiles and SMS. If to add computer and internet possibilities to it, live communication has no chances to win this fight.

Telecommunication industries are very popular and spread nowadays. According to some psychologists this fact may be explained by idleness. People are too lazy to stand up and to cross the city just to have a chat with their friends. It is better for them to stay at home and communicate with others having the access to the internet with the help of mobile phone.
